To achieve full accuracy from your tide time indicator it should be set at the’ high tide’ position on the day of the full moon.
How it works?
The major cause of the tide cycle is the moon. The clock is based on the Lunar Day. The time it takes for the moon to reappear in the same place in the sky. this time is 24 hours and 50 minutes. since there are 2 high and 2 low tides each day. the clock hand is set to rotate once every 12 hours and 25 minutes. this means the tide clock is always in step with the moon.
